The family of the late Captain Hosa Okunbo announced on Wednesday that former President Goodluck Jonathan will deliver a keynote memorial lecture in honor of the late business magnate and philanthropist on Saturday, August 13, in a follow-up effort to a successful One-Year Memorial Thanksgiving service held in Benin City, Edo state, on Monday.
The late Capt. Hosa’s communications assistant, Mr. Adeniyi Ifetayo, reportedly indicated the former president will deliver a lecture with the title “Lasting Legacy: The Key to Nigeria Development Issues?”
Friends, family, business partners, and other notable individuals are anticipated to attend the inaugural lecture, which is planned to take place at the opulent five-star Wells Carlton Hotel and Apartment, Asokoro Abuja.
You may recall that President Goodluck Jonathan said, “Capt. Hosa lived an important life,” and “he was a remarkable entrepreneur who contributed substantially to the advancement of the country via his hard work,” during his commemoration speech last year.
It is important to mention that the late business icon’s children, family, and friends gathered on August 8 at the Wells Hosa Greenhouse farm in Benin for the One Year Memorial Thanksgiving Service, which attracted many business titans, politicians, clerics, and family members.
The event is strictly by invitation only, and guests are expected to be seated by 10am.
